Deep Cleaning vs. Basic Cleaning: What's the Difference?

September 22, 2026 Superior Performance Cleaning

A basic cleaning is your home's regular upkeep. It covers dusting, wiping kitchen counters and appliances, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, and vacuuming and mopping floors. It keeps a home that's already in good shape feeling fresh.

A deep cleaning goes much further. We clean baseboards, door frames, light switches, cabinet fronts, vents, and window sills, and we remove the soap scum and hard-water build-up that regular cleaning can't keep up with.

We usually recommend a deep clean as your first visit, before a special event, or once or twice a year as a seasonal reset. After that, a regular basic cleaning keeps everything at that same level.
